“La única pérdida con la que puedo comparar esto es cuando perdí a mi hijo”. El ex jugador de los Lakers Lamar Odom ha compartido un desgarrador mensaje en redes sociales tras la muerte de Kobe Bryant , con quien ganó dos anillos de la NBA.
El ala-pívot, quien en octubre de 2015 fue hallado inconsciente en un burdel de la ciudad estadounidense de Las Vegas y hospitalizado en estado crítico, mantenía una relación muy especial con su excompañero de equipo, su “hermano” y “maestro”, quien fue uno de los pocos que acudió al hospital cuando se encontraba al borde de la muerte.
De hecho, Bryant abandonó un partido de pretemporada de los Lakers cuando conoció la noticia del ingreso hospitalario de Odom para acudir al Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center de Las Vegas para ver a su amigo.
“Cuando yo me encontraba en esa situación de coma, si Dios hubiera venido y me hubiera dicho que me llevaba a mí y perdonaba a Kobe, yo lo habría preferido”, ha escrito Odom.
Incrédulo, continúa el exjugador de los Lakers: “Fue un placer. No podía recuperar el aliento cuando escuché esta noticia. Solo sabía que si estaba en un accidente de helicóptero habría sido el que sobreviviera. De alguna manera él habría saltado y aterrizado sobre sus pies”.
Concluye su emotivo homenaje Odom: “En honor a mi hermano, mañana me levantaré a las cuatro de la mañana para ir al gimnasio [...], te quiero, hermano”.
