El candidato republicano a la Casa Blanca, Donald Trump, ha tachado este martes de líder "débil e incompetente" al presidente de la Cámara de Representantes, el también republicano Paul Ryan, quien anunció que no defenderá más al magnate ni hará campaña con él para las elecciones del 8 de noviembre.
Como es habitual en él, Trump ha usado su cuenta de Twitter para atacar a Ryan, quien este lunes comunicó su negativa a seguir haciendo campaña a favor del magnate durante una conversación telefónica con varios congresistas republicanos. Según ha afirmado Trump en Twitter, durante esa llamada los compañeros conservadores de Ryan "se volvieron locos" por "su deslealtad".
En otro tuit anterior, el candidato presidencial republicano se quejaba de que, "a pesar de ganar por goleada" el segundo debate televisado con su rival demócrata, Hillary Clinton, "es difícil hacerlo bien cuando Paul Ryan y otros dan cero apoyo".
La conversación de Ryan con sus colegas republicanos se produjo después de que el pasado viernes se revelara un vídeo de Trump que data de 2005 y en el que se escucha al magnate haciendo comentarios soeces y vulgares sobre acoso sexual a mujeres.
TUIT VA, TUIT VIENE
"Está muy bien que me hayan quitado los grilletes. Ahora puedo luchar por Estados Unidos de la manera que yo quiera", ha aseverado Trump este martes en la red social, para posteriormente añadir: "Los desleales republicanos son más difíciles que Hillary la Deshonesta. Te atacan por todos lados. No saben cómo ganar, pero yo les enseñaré".
La incesante cadena de tuits criticando a la élite republicana muestra la preocupación del candidato por el desplante de Ryan, el republicano de más alto rango, y de un gran número de senadores que se juegan la reelección en los comicios de noviembre.
LA LEALTAD DE LOS DEMÓCRATAS
El presidente de la Cámara de Representantes tenía previsto celebrar su primer acto de campaña en compañía de Trump el sábado en Wisconsin, su estado, pero tras la revelación de la citada grabación retiró la invitación al multimillonario.
No obstante, pese a negarse a hacer campaña por él, Ryan no ha dicho que vaya a retirar su apoyo oficial a Trump, algo que muchos republicanos del Congreso sí han hecho durante el fin de semana en respuesta al polémico vídeo. La respuesta de Trump a todos ellos también ha llegado en esta cadena de tuits, con una comparación respecto a los demócratas:
Con la excepción del mentiroso Bernie, los demócratas han demostrado ser mucho más leales a cualquiera que los republicanos.
Trump ha ido más lejos este lunes en sus tuits desafiantes sobre Ryan, pero ayer ya dijo que el presidente de la Cámara baja "debería pasar más tiempo dedicado a equilibrar el presupuesto, crear empleos, y a la inmigración ilegal en lugar de malgastarlo luchando contra el candidato republicano".
Jason Miller, el principal asesor de comunicación de Trump, aseguró en otro tuit que la conversación de Ryan con congresistas "no cambia nada", porque la campaña del magnate "siempre ha estado impulsada por un movimiento de votantes de base, no por Washington" y su elite política.
