Un niño ucraniano pone en aprietos al papa Francisco con esta pregunta sobre Ucrania
El pontífice ha tirado de diplomacia para responderle.
El papa Francisco ha asegurado que quiere ir a Ucrania, si bien ha matizado que tiene que buscar “el momento justo”, durante un encuentro con niños en el Patio de San Dámaso del Palacio Apostólico del Vaticano, entre los que había algunos menores ucranianos obligados a huir de su país por la guerra.
“Tengo que buscar el momento justo para hacerlo. Esta próxima semana recibiré a representantes del gobierno de Ucrania, que vendrán a hablar y a hablar de una posible visita mía allí: vamos a ver qué pasa”, ha revelado el Papa durante el encuentro en el que los niños le han ido haciendo preguntas.
Uno de ellos, llamado Sachar - que ahora vive en Roma-, le ha pedido expresamente que visite su país: ”¿Puede ir a Ucrania para salvar a todos los niños que están sufriendo allí ahora?”.

El Pontífice le ha dicho que se alegra de su presencia en el Vaticano y ha recordado la decisión de enviar a dos cardenales de la Curia Romana: el cardenal Konrad Krajewski, elector, y el cardenal Michael Czerny, prefecto en funciones del Dicasterio para la Promoción del Desarrollo Humano Integral.
“Me alegro de que tú estés aquí. Yo pienso mucho en los niños de Ucrania, y por eso he enviado a algunos cardenales para que ayuden allí y estén cerca de toda la gente, pero especialmente de los niños. Yo quisiera ir a Ucrania; sólo que tengo que esperar el momento para hacerlo, ¿sabes? porque no es fácil tomar una decisión que puede hacer más mal a todo el mundo que bien”, ha señalado.
En la cita en el Vaticano han participado cerca de 160 niños que participan en el ‘Tren de los niños’, promovido para los más pequeños en el marco de la iniciativa ‘Atrio de los Gentiles’.
