Un mensaje muy directo. El presidente del Gobierno, Pedro Sánchez, ha considerado que las ayudas anunciadas por el Ejecutivo madrileño para familias con rentas de hasta 100.000 euros al año “violentan” el significado de la política pública como herramienta para redistribuir la riqueza e impulsar la igualdad.
Son palabras del presidente durante un diálogo con el Premio Nobel en Ciencias Económicas 2019, Abhijit Binayak Banerjee, celebrado este lunes en el marco de la Jornada “Un ingreso mínimo vital orientado a la inclusión”, donde ha remarcado que “la política de becas es fundamental”.
Se dedican más de 2.000 millones de euros a programas de becas para activar el ascensor social en el país, ha dicho el presidente, quien ha lamentado que haya una administración que amplía el margen para percibir esas becas para aquellas familias que cobran hasta 100.000 euros.
A juicio de Sánchez, eso es “retorcer y violentar el propio significado de la política pública de redistribución de la renta y de impulso a las políticas de igualdad en generaciones que no tienen niveles de renta para estudiar lo que ellos consideren y expandir todas sus potencialidades”.
Al acto asisten la vicepresidenta primera y ministra de Asuntos Económicos y Transformación Digital, Nadia Calviño; la vicepresidenta segunda y ministra de Trabajo y Economía Social, Yolanda Díaz; la ministra de Sanidad, Carolina Darias, y el ministro de Inclusión, Seguridad Social y Migraciones, José Luis Escrivá.
