Si no fuera por las intervenciones de Luis de Guindos y Rubalcaba valorando la huelga, dentro de la Cámara es como si no pasara nada. ¿Los ministros se habrán manifestado alguna vez? ¿Se acordarán de ello?
El ministro García Margallo (68 años), de Exteriores, viaja en el tiempo: "Participé en todas las manifestaciones que se hicieron contra Franco. En todas. La diferencia entre las manifestaciones de antes con las de ahora, es que antes estaban prohibidas". Hasta nosotras rejuvenecemos escuchándole. Luis de Guindos (54 años) y ministro de Economía, se enternece al recordar que "mi primera manifestación fue en la plaza de Oriente -¡glups!- cuando se produjo la proclamación del Rey Juan Carlos -¡Uff!-. "Cosas que no se pueden ni reproducir sobre los ancestros del comisario" dice, con una sonrisa pícara. A José Manuel Soria nos lo pone en bandeja la ministra de Fomento, Ana Pastor, que no ha pegado ojo en toda la noche. El de Industria asegura que su primera 'manifa' fue en "el año 75 cuando estaba estudiando Económicas en la capital". Cuando se murió Franco, le decimos ¿Por qué se manifestaba?. "No me acuerdo". Justo ese año hubo una gran manifestación en la plaza de Oriente el 1 de octubre en apoyo de Franco, acorralado internacionalmente por los fusilamientos de miembros de ETA y del FRAP. El que resulta imbatible en asistencia a manifestaciones y en porrazos de la policía, es Alfonso Alonso (45 años), portavoz del PP en el Congreso. "La Vitoria (Euskadi) de mi infancia y juventud daba para estar todo el día de manifestaciones. Soy vasco. El primer recuerdo que tengo fue por el asesinato de Jesús Velasco Zuazola en 1980. Yo tenía 12 años y fuí con mis padres. Fue triste y dura. Me acuerdo perfectamente del 3 de marzo de 1976 -en plena Transición, la policía disparó contra los trabajadores que salían obligados por los gases lacrimógenos de la iglesia de San Francisco de Asis de Vitoria, donde celebraban una asamblea, matando a cinco obreros-. Tenía ocho años. En mi adolescencia, iba a manifestaciones todas las semanas. En una acera nos manifestábamos nosotros y enfrente los de Batasuna. La de Miguel Ángel Blanco fue la más emocionante". El secretario de Estado de Relaciones con las Cortes, José Luis Ayllón (42 años), debe a su padre el único recuerdo que tiene de una manifestación. "Él me llevó el día que llegó Tarradellas desde el exilio. Fue cuando dijo lo de 'jo soc aquí', pero como había tanta gente nos lo perdimos". Al jefe de Gabinete de Rajoy, Jorge Moragas (47 años), no se le puede olvidar "la del Hipercor en Barcelona y la de Miguel Ángel Blanco. De las pocas a las que he ido porque no suelo manifestarme". Todo lo contrario que Carlos Floriano (45 años), vicesecretario de organización del PP, que no se perdía las manis "en contra de la OTAN y en la universidad, en los años 80, contra la reforma universitaria".
LAS 'MANIS' DE RUBALCABA
Hasta aquí las experiencias de algunos notables populares, que son los que hoy tienen más interés, pues la huelga es contra las medidas de su Gobierno. Las de los de izquierda nos obligarían a escribir un libro, sobre todo las de los más maduritos y sus historias con los 'grises' y las 'lecheras'. Para no abrumar, os dejamos las de Rubalcaba (61 años). El líder de la Oposición recuerda que "no íbamos a manifestaciones. Hacíamos comandos o saltos. Eran convocatorias ilegales como de tres minutos máximo, y la primera que hice fue en Antón Martín con unas pocas decenas de estudiantes, como dice la canción de Ana Belén. Yo estaba en tercero de Químicas y era de izquierdas, pero no militaba aún en el PSOE".
No nos hemos podido resistir a preguntar a Emilio Olabarría (58 años), un diputado histórico del PNV, que al ser de Euskadi, ha vivido todo tipo de manifestaciones. "Nos manifestábamos contra el régimen franquista, cuando estaba en la universidad. Yo estaba en movimientos casi clandestinos, las juventudes del PNV. Me han pegado más de una vez los grises, aunque suene a batallita del abuelo. Me llegaron a retener en un cuartel. Y se daba la paradoja de que los mismos que te detenían, cuando te soltaban, te abrazaban a la salida, Era la época en que el PCE invocaba lo de la reconciliación. La diferencia con las manifestaciones de hoy es notable. Entonces luchábamos contra los restos del franquismo y la falta de libertades. Eran políticas y ahora son económico sociales. La gente se manifiesta por el desempleo, la pobreza, los desahucios... en fin, la decadencia de las clases medias".
