El expresidente de Estados Unidos Bill Clinton fue hospitalizado el martes en el Centro Médico Irvine, en California, por una infección “no relacionada con la COVID-19”, según ha informado este jueves su portavoz, Angel Ureña.
Al expresidente le han diagnosticado una infección y le habrían administrado “antibióticos líquidos por vía intravenosa”, ha apuntado la cadena estadounidense CBS News.
“El martes por la noche, el presidente Clinton fue admitido en el Centro Médico UCI para recibir tratamiento por una infección no relacionada con la COVID-19. Está recuperándose, de buen humor e increíblemente agradecido a los doctores, enfermeros y el personal que le está dando un cuidado excelente”, ha apuntado Ureña en sus redes sociales.
Así, tras dos días de tratamiento, Clinton está “respondiendo bien a los antibióticos” y su cantidad de glóbulos blancos está volviendo a parámetros normales. “Esperamos que se vaya pronto a casa”, han apuntado los médicos del exmandariario, recoge la cadena CNN.
Además, el personal sanitario que atiende a Clinton está en “comunicación constante” con el equipo médico del expresidente con sede en Nueva York.
